2010s:
Heritage and Progress
In the 2010s, Lilly’s Puerto Rican story blended tradition with modern innovation. The Dry Products Network consolidated in Puerto Rico bringing new technologies to the island. Packaging operations transitioned to another site outside of the island while PR05 worked tirelessly in the continuous improvement of biotechnology processes and supporting various validations. Employees embraced new tools — from iPads to e-tickets — proving once again their ability to adapt and lead in a changing world. Beyond the plant, Lilly families invested back into the island: launching scholarships, partnering with universities, and inspiring the next generation of professionals. Each employee carried forward a legacy, not just of medicine, but of resilience, education, and service.
